Welcome to my painting journal.   I paint what I see around me.  I like to walk and sketch or walk and take photos of scenes that would make an interesting watercolor.  Usually it’s around Ajijic and Chapala or Guadalajara.

The people are what capture my imagination. All of them have their unique personalities.  They fascinate me.  Have fun here and feel free to make comments.  I like hearing from you.

This mural painter is Jesus Lopez Vega.    mural painter He’s the subject of one of my paintings.  This is the “dollar store”  at their grand opening in Ajijic plaza. This is around April of 2018.

The suitcases are everything I took with me to Mexico.  They sit in a row–the only thing left in my beautiful art studio before I flew to Mexico.  I sold, donated or gave away everything else I owned.  That was  in January 2018.  It was a scary but energizing time.  I had dreamed of doing… Continue reading About
